Ekphrasis

As we spy on one another using insidious social media sites, the government and the commercial-industrial-complex spy back on us, using data handed over to them by the very same social media sites. How incredibly näive we will feel once the treachery of electronic connectivity reveals itself:Every mental thought and physical movement that we’ve voluntarily shared with this electronic leviathan is fair game for manipulation and criminalization! Every step we take toward greater humanity is replaced by degeneration to infantile depravity! The inner child becomes the outer monster as paranoia replaces all sense of measure in our ratiocination. The adults are gone; instead, the children play, and therein begins the therianthropy. (Ah well, at least we’re still reading and writing.)
