Alien flowers in a simple vase—or is it a wig stand gone awry?—follow the lead of a triad of stars in a parallel world of unforgiving trigonometry. While the shameless plants bare their irregular polygony to a cool-bright sky, a photophobic changing screen seeks refuge from the full spectrum of light in a pall of night limned with constellations of repeating trapezoids. The suggestion of an infinite plane may offer hope to Flat Earthers that they may one day inhabit a world devoid of topographic variety, but Heliotrope seems more to suggest that GMO-laden plant foods might produce Frankenflowers of formidable geometry.
