In app-based amore
Depends not so much now

Upon a blue checkmark,
(a glaze that says “real deal“
that now belies falsehood),

Nor on a red wheelbarrow,
(glazed with rainwater,
beside the white chickens),

But on our own data,
and whether it’s star-crossed,
Suggesting a dance
or a fall into limbo.

So swim with the ’rithm and
keep yourself current,
Or be borne back ceaselessly
into the feed.
