Ekphrasis

A non-binary shot-putter competes before unseen crowds on a vista of chromatic division...or is it merely a skeleton of athletic vanity, revealed in the sinews of intramural ennui? Or could it be a cousin of Clippy, Microsoft’s animated assistant, preparing to cast a circle of sunshine against the shade thrown at its justifiably maligned relative? Blue sky meets orange earth in a work that challenges the viewer’s relationship to office supplies, all the while suggesting that sometimes a paper clip is just a paper clip.
