Ekphrasis

Summertime is lemonade season, although it can be more of a season of lemons during a pandemic, especially for those who stare with sour grapes at the normal-life shores of New Zealand. But whither the Sentinelese? Perhaps they bask in Schadenfreude over the fate of the outside world, feeling vindicated at their continued refusal to have any part of it? We may never know the naked truth, but when drowning our shame with an array of refreshments, we’ll see that a pitcher without a handle is simply a vase only a mother could love.
