In the struggle against anti-intellectualism, a brainy bird rests atop a book of unknown wisdom, pinioning its pages from flying asunder amidst duck-speak attacks of Orwellian design. But wait...what’s happened here? Our Icarus has transformed into a mere paperweight, albeit one whose form has morphed into an avian teratoma of sorts. This, perhaps, is our future as well: our flesh will change as we fight the battle to secure the knowledge of the ages against contrarian claims of pernicious populism. What standards of beauty will obtain when two eyes are simply not enough to keep track of all that darts across our media screens? Only Daedalus knows for sure.
